Singles Championships – Div 1 – Tues 28 July 7pm
Pre-registration is required.
– Closing date for entries is 6pm Friday 24 July.
Entry is via bank deposit of $15 to the City bank account (BSB 124-004 A/c 10476894).
– Please use “1S+your name” as the payment reference.
– If you pay on Friday 24 July, please send a proof of payment to the City 8-Ball page via Messenger or text Brad Hart.
– All matches will be best of 7 under a 50 minute central match clock. If the scores are tied after 50 mins, a 6-red shootout will determine the winner.
– Seedings will be determined by the Main Round Stats Table (minimum of 16 frames played) after the round of matches on 14 July.
– The draw will be posted in PoolStat on Monday 27 July.
– Open to any Div 1 players currently participating in the Main Round subject to final Committee approval.
– Format is subject to change depending on number of entries.

It saddens us to share that David Valpiani passed recently.
David was a stalwart of 8‑ball, contributing immensely to both City 8 Ball and Brisbane & Districts over many years.
Always with a smile, he was one of the true gentlemen of the sport and will be sorely missed by us all.
A gathering in David’s memory will be held at Q‑Masters this Wednesday 15th at 6 PM, before fixtures commence.
Please pass this on to anyone who knew David.

🏆🏆🏆 City Invitational 2026 🏆🏆🏆
The 2026 City Invitational, where, by invitation only, 8 players (2 non State players, 2 B grade, 2 C grade and 2 women) from City 8 Ball, Brisbane & Districts, Norths Cue Sports and another invited team, play for the City Invitational Plaque, was held today at Q-Masters.
And… drum roll…. congratulations goes to the… Brisbane and Districts team! They fought hard and came out on top – well done to the chosen team!
Other winners included:
* Scotty Denston = Best A Grader (right hand side)
* Peter Bechara = Best B Grader (2nd from left)
* Alan Shan = Best C Grader (left hand side)
* Debbie Kilvington = Best Woman (2nd from right)
A huge thanks go to City’s President Jazz Westaway and City’s Vice President Glenn Lynch for organising and co-ordinating the day, and to Q-Masters for hosting the event.

The QLD Junior Championships were held over the past weekend in Gladstone.
City is proud to share that Scotty Denston won the U18 Championship at his first attempt.
He finished 4th after the round robin stage, taking the last spot for the finals.
From there on he knuckled down and took one match at a time, winning two knockout matches to progress to the Grand Final. Scotty went on to win 4-1.
Congrats to Scotty and his family!
