The QLD State Women Over 50s trials were held yesterday on Thursday 25 July and we are so VERY excited to be able to congratulate our city girl Belinda Marshall who played against 13 of the top 8-ball players in QLD to make it into the finals and then achieve the prestigious 2nd position – CONGRATULATIONS!!
Belinda will now represent Queensland, and City, at the National titles to be held in October in Perth.
SO PROUD OF YOU Belinda. You played so well with such focus, commitment and determination. You’re an inspiration to us all.

These QLD State Teams play-offs are being held this Thursday 25 July and this weekend on Saturday 27/Sunday 28 July at Ipswich Eightball Association or Townsville. The City 8-Ball representatives are:

And the accolades continue!! Last night, Wed 3 July, Gaythorne based team GB2VR played against the also very talented QM2YR in a 17 to 13 grand final score…. and the winner was… drum roll…. GV2VR!!!
Well done both teams for making it to the podium and for a wonderful main season with City – Goooooo City!!

Our top teams of our top Division played their hearts out tonight in VERY close Grand Final. QM1V and QM1N vied for game after game until QM1V was up 8 to QM1N’s 7 in a nail biting final match to either go to a tie or win the win.
And…. QM1V did it! They won the final game to take the Grand Final 9 to 7.
Well done both teams for making it to the podium!
